SECS Day in the Wildcat!

The WRC's Health and Sexuality team made the front page of this morning's Daily Wildcat!

The SECS Presentation was a success with roughly 39 people in attendance and 4 different sponsor groups showing up to give their support!

The next SECS Presentation, entitled "SECS: HIV 101" will be held on December 1st for World AIDS Day. The presentation will take place in CSIL from 7pm-8:15pm and will focus on HIV/AIDS.

Sex-Ed College Style (SECS) Day!!

Ever wondered about the myths and the facts regarding sexual health? Do you LOVE SEX but want to avoid being a negative statistic?

If you answered yes, then you need SexEd, College Style (SECS)!

Join the Women's Resource Center for SECS Day! The Women's Resource Center's Health and Sexuality Interns will provide their fantastic, comprehensive sexual health programming to participants in SECS Day. The best part about the Women's Resource Center's Sex Ed? It's FOR college students, BY college students!

The Sex Ed College Style training will address: education on the sexual spectrum, consent and sexual responsibility, how to properly use a fe/male condom and dental dam, demonstrations of the pill, patch, ring, shot, implant, IUD, and Emergency Contraception, and how to reduce your risks of getting or passing on an STI.

Receive FREE food, FREE condoms, FREE lubricant, FREE education, and a question and answer session!

Representatives from the Women's Resource Center and Southern Arizona AIDS Foundation will be standing by for further information regarding services and employment/volunteer opportunities. SECS day is FREE and open to everyone.

LOCATION: CSIL Center For Student Involvement and Leadership, located on the 4th Floor of the Student Union Memorial Center

Native American Heritage Month

Come join the Women's Resource Center, CSIL, and NASA for our presentation of the film:

"Turquoise Rose" with Guest Speaker Natasha Johnson

Nov. 18, 6 p.m., Gallagher Theater

A coming-of age-story that follows a Native American college student named Turquoise Rose as she begrudgingly forgoes a trip to Europe with her friends to return to the Navajo reservation and take care of her ailing grandmother. Through this experience, Turquoise comes to appreciate her Navajo heritage and ancestry. This film will be followed by a Q & A with the film's star, Natasha Johnson.
