The forum was last night and was a smashing success. A large group showed for the forum, and many stayed for the reception after the forum to speak to the panelists and other audience members.
The Forum also made the news once again!
Wildcat: Fighting Political Fallacies
Arizona Daily Star: UA Forum Focus: Women, Politics
Also the Tucson Weekly, KUAT, and KXCI came to the forum and took video/audio recordings. Hopefully we will see the forum in other outlets in the next couple days!
Thank you to everyone who came to the forum, and participated!

Sarah Palin and Hillary Clinton faux-fought it out on Saturday Night Live. It's

Feminism! MILFS! Sexism! We'll be addressing it all at the Women in Politics
Forum!
An exceptional panel of UA professors, community leaders, elected women and
bipartisan politicians to discuss the role of women in politics! Please join
us!

the Women's Resource Center at 520-621-3919.
We even got some press for the event!

FILM SERIES!!!
Do you have breasts? Do you like breasts? Do you not like breasts? Would you
like to learn more about the impact that breasts have on the lives of
women-identified individuals? If any of these questions apply to you, then join
the ASUA’s Women’s Resource Center for their presentation of:
"Breasts: A Documentary"
Wednesday October 1, 2008
7pm
Gallagher Theater
Admission is FREE!!
In this documentary, Twenty-two women – most topless, all candid – reveal
how their breasts have shaped their lives, from puberty to sex to motherhood
and beyond. Interspersed throughout the film are precious archival gems,
including a racy 1920s cartoon, a 1950s beauty pageant and a 1970s bra
commercial.
After the film Erin Russ from Southern Arizona Gender Alliance will discuss her
experiences with her breasts as a transgender woman, TC Tolbert from Wingspan
will share his experiences as a transgender man, and Kait will
discuss her unique breast stories. Panelists will then facilitate a discussion
and answer questions from audience members.
We hope to see you there!
