Just Jai!

HELLO! My name is Jai Smith. I am a SafeWalker and a Health and Sexuality Intern with the Women’s Resource Center this year and very excited to be working with such a diverse group! I have worked with many different groups in the past, including Southern Arizona AIDS Foundation, Wingspan, and EON. I am trained as an AIDS educator and am the director of the Walking Names Project (www.walkingnamesproject. org), which is in honor of my late godfather. This year I am a member of the LGBTQ Advisory Board, Pride Alliance, SPRITE, SAAF, and Q&A. I am very active in the community and very passionate about women’s and LGBTQ rights.

This year I hope to work towards increasing awareness of HIV/AIDS on campus and to help act as a catalyst between the groups I am a member of. I am very excited to be with the Women’s Resource Center and look forward to this opportunity.
